Research methods:

Coring of bottom sediments from depths down to 1000 m by gravity tubes (up to 4 m long , 60-100 mm in diameter) and by a box-corer (14x14x20 cm).The mineralogical-petrographic description of a core and solid preparations from it, as well as diagnostics of clastic and authigene mineral phases. The sampling and the analysis of about 45 measured parameters of sedimentary columns with step 0.5 - 5 mm.The137Cs and 210Pb radioisothope dating of the top layers for an estimation of sedimentation rate.Time series analysis and other methods of statistical treatment.
